Prerequisite: Must have completed basic training in PDO threads to participate in course.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
The innovative technique of simultaneously combining injectable fillers, polydioxanone (PDO)
threads and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) for optimal rejuvenation of the face.
PDO (polydioxanone) Threads: Using the same threads used in cardiothoracic surgeries, PDO threads are absorbed via hydrolysis in just 4-6 months. Placed in the superficial tissue of the face or body, PDO threads aim to achieve safe, in-office tightening and repositioning of the skin with no surgical skills required. Achieve great results with no recorded complications!
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) with Microneedling: Used in combination with micro-needling or injected as a natural filler (or mixed with a filler); the Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) technique uses the most advanced Blood Concentrate technology to generate a complex Fibrin Matrix rich in Platelets, Leukocytes and Mesenchymal stem cells for tissue regeneration purposes (skin rejuvenation, tissue augmentation, hair regrowth etc).
This 100% autologous rejuvenation technique is a substantial progress from the well-established PRP (or Platelet-Rich Plasma) technique as it enables to harvest more cells, in higher concentration and better vitality; allowing for a longer and more gradual release of growth factors (constant release of growth factors for 10-12 days with PRF versus only few minutes with PRP).
Blunt microcannulas for fillers’ injections: Much safer than using classic sharp needles for fillers’ injections, microcannulas do not cut through vessels and tissues, but rather navigate smoothly through the dermis and subcutaneous layers. Due to its blunt tip and flexibility, the microcannula allows for a virtually painless and complication-free procedure.
All medical supplies and materials will be provided by AIAM. Participants must bring their own FDA approved fillers and one model for injections.
Course eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and for AANP and ANCC credit.
